June 12 - Well, we are on the last day of the trip for the group from Peoria.  We were on the bus by 7:30 AM and headed for the airport.  It took about an hour to get from  Jerusalem to the airport and they were through security by 10:00 and off to board the plane.

Phyllis and I went with Doron to rent a car and then we headed south to Mitzpa Ramon.  It took about 2 hours to get here but 1 1/2 to find where we were going.
It seems no one here knows where anything is.  Doron said that Mitzpa Ramon was such a small town that we wouldn't need a GPS - WRONG!  Oh well, we have checked into our B&B and are now relaxing until this evening when we will go out to dinner and then to the observatory to observe the stars.  Should be good.

This evening we went to dinner at the Ramon Inn with Freda and Bob Steinke and their friends Shoshana and Yonnie who are Orthodox Jews.  We had quite and interesting convsation with Shoshana who has had a very interesting life and they are now planting trees in the desert.  Then met up with a gentleman who took us out to the desert to observe the stars.  I didn't have my camera and it wouldn't have done much good since it was so dark.  However, we were all wrapped up in sweatshirts and blankets which he supplied.  I forgot the desert could get that chilly.

That's it until tomorrow.
